TEXT FOR BASIC LEARNERS

The strange day of my entire life.

It was something strange that day, well not strange at all as usual I over slept and I was late for my English class, I get up as fast as I could although I wasn’t at all wake my dog talked to me can you believe that a dog talking to a fourteen years old kid, that is something that does not happen very usually.
When I left home a wave of noise knocked my head, all I could see was people screaming and running away from their homes, I have no idea was going one by that time it was like a movie see all that chaos all that little children with their parents trying to hide from I don’t know what.
After I could move myself and start to walk, just by the corner of the street were the two bullies from my school Tom and James and as they always do not missed the opportunity to screw my day, well after they kick me they just keep walking as nothing would ever happened, by that time I tried to back home, but I have left my keys inside it once more, this is very usual when you are a teenager you should know about it when you are a teenager you are always forgetting things and fooling around all the time.
When I think something worse could happen to me, it did not happened actually something really good happened to me I was rendered to go to school forgetting all the chaos around me when, she appeared, she was absolutely beautiful she has long black hair, green eyes, and her voice that was the best of all I have never heard something more beautiful ,even it sounded beautiful when she told me about the lethal virus that was spread in the city, a lethal virus that was created first as a vaccine but as all things in life all good thing can became bad.
The rest is story thousand of people infected and died, years and years of war between countries fighting for survive, fighting for the peace that maybe would never comes

The Prince of Persia

Persia, 1680, the country was devastated because of the wild tribes who destroyed everything in their path, it was said that if they put on their eyes on an objective, it was completely destroyed for their savage sense of domination. Armies of thousands of men were on the move, no one could stop them.

A nameless man only known as The Prince of Persia, who was the bravest man ever known, with undisputed skills, no one was able to defeat him, it was said that his power was beyond any human being.

One day the prince was set on a trip to look for the “Sands of Time” which had the power to control time, if this artefact fall into the hands of evil, terrible consequences were to appear, the world could be destroyed; somehow, the prince figured out that he needed to retrieve this artefact.

With his amazing skills, he was able to defeat armies of demons who were protecting the place, even though, the artefact was taken by the prince, when he put his hands on it, the earth began to shake, and the cave started to fall apart. As the cave began to crumble, the prince made a successful escape with the “Sands of Time” on his hands giving him a rewarding feeling of satisfaction.

Once the prince was out of the cave, he travelled back home, back to Persia; the only thing he wanted to see was his father face once again who was waiting at the “Temple of the Light”. After a long, long trip, he was able to see his beautiful Persia, but something was wrong, the city was on fire, buildings falling apart, the people’s desperation screams were the only thing that the prince could notice after a hard battle against death.

He had no time to waste, as he was getting closer to Persia, flaming arrows destroyed his boat, and he was able to reach the shore by swimming. Once the prince got to the main throne, his father’s head was lying on the floor, the Dahaka (demon lord) was laughing, the prince couldn’t handle his anger and with all his skills he defeated the Dahaka. Persia was able to see a spark of light thanks to the prince; after twenty long dark years, the city was rebuilt and the citizens were able to live in peace once again.

A Cold Murder

Chicago, 1989, it was a cold and hard winter like death was upon every single person in the city, this story is about a kid who really loved his mother, his name was Mark, he used to make any kind of things in order to call his mother’s attention, their relationship as mother and child was strong, but there was only one problem that was between their strong relationship, Mark’s father, who was an alcoholic and violent man, used to be drinking all the time, and the only thing he was capable of doing is to hit is wife with a stick in her whole body, she could not do a thing because if he leaves the house, she would not be able to feed her baby and give him a respectable education.


In a cold night of Christmas Eve, Mark and his mother were having a good time opening Mark’s presents, but not everything could have been happiness, Mark’s father got home, drunk, so he grabbed an iron stick and hit so hard his wife that she could not make move; while this madman was still hitting her, she thought how could she married such a man. Once he got out of strength, he went to bed; Mark’s eyes could not believe what just happened, he swore vengeance against the man who did that to his mother.



Time passed, Mark graduated from law school in Harvard, but as time was passing by, his anger against his father grown up has well; Mark’s mother was so joyful that her son succeeded, a feeling of self rewarding went through her body and bones. After the ceremony, mother and son went home to give his father the good news about his son success, but they found him drunk and more aggressively than ever, he was totally crazy, he took a gun and began to aim to Mark’s mother, she began to cry with a deep a feeling of sadness that Mark could not stand it, so as he saw his mother crying, he shook off the gun from his father’s hands and aimed at him, at first he hesitated on shooting the gun, but when he stared to his mother and saw that she was in pain, as well as he remembered all the past events like that “Bloody Christmas Eve” he shot a bullet straight to his heart giving him an instant death. As a consequence, he was sentenced to be in jail for twenty long dark years.

Listening Project

This was our second project which was a Listening Project, we did this because it is very important for us, future teachers, to develop the ability of hearing in students, so that they can understand the message that this spoken language is trying to give. This listening project consist on a talkshow performed by three students, the situation; a woman who does not know how to raise her children in a correct way becuase she separated from her husband and her children began to behave badly, so she phones the radio and tells her story in order to get a wise advice on how to control her children's behaviour.
